Q. Is there a "bad time" to visit to Laguna Niguel?
A. If you are counting on lots of sun and balmy weather, you might want to
avoid a visit to Laguna Niguel during the months of May and June. We often
refer to 'May Gray' and 'June Gloom'. During these months the wind blows
moisture on-shore creating a high overcast sky. It's still generally warm, but
the sun doesn't always make it out to play.
Q. Why aren't there hotels within the Laguna Niguel city boundaries?
A. Laguna Niguel is a primarily residential city. It is a very family-oriented
and relaxed community that borders the beach cities. Laguna Niguel is a
master-planned community with beautiful homes, wide streets and over 30 parks.
Most visitors want to stay right at the beach, so that is where the hotels and
motels are located. Depending on where you are staying, it's only about 2 to
15 minutes to beach hotels and motels, travelling on manicured, uncrowded
surface streets.
